Elected Highlands County Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller in August 2020, Jerome's first day in office was October 1, 2020.

Jerome Kaszubowski has served as a Highlands County Clerk of Courts Deputy Clerk, in various capacities, for more than 30 years. Under the Robert Germaine administration, he held the Senior Director of Business Services position with oversight of the agency’s business operations. The Business Services Department includes various divisions, including Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Official Records, Tax Deeds, Marriage Licenses, Payroll (for the Clerk and Board of County Commissioners), and Information Technology (for the Clerk, Board, Tax Collector, and Supervisor of Elections).

He is also involved in the community as Sunday School Director and Teacher at the Ministry Center, member of the Highlands County Republican Executive Committee, former President of Heartland Christian School, and former Treasurer of First Baptist Church of Lake Josephine.

Before joining the Clerk of Courts in 1986, Jerome earned Accounting and Business Data Processing degrees from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan. In 2010, he became a Certified Governmental Chief Information Officer through Florida State University and was a member of the SFSC Leadership Highlands Class of 2011. 

Today, Jerome is happily married to Margaret, his wife of 30 years and counting! They have three children and five grandchildren.
